Bactrim DS Tablet contains a combination of active ingredients (medications) and may interact with certain medications. Some examples is bactrim f, used to treat urinary tract infections, blood pressure, ritonavir and amprenavir,5 used to treat HIV infection, and5 used to treat HIV infection, taken before planned sexual activity. Bactrim f should not be taken with medicines containing nelfinavir (used to treat HIV infection). Nelfinavir increases the risk of increased systolic blood pressure and heart rate being triggered by Bactrim f. Do not use Nelfinavir if you are taking medications for high blood pressure, high cholesterol, diabetes, or high blood pressure. Take with any food or milk while taking nelfinavir for the full course of treatment.

Bactrim f is for use by men only. Do not share your medicine with anyone who is pregnant or breastfeeding.

It is not recommended for use in children and adolescents under the age of 18 years.

Side Effects

The most common side effects of Bactrim f are nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, headache, back pain, muscle aches, pain in arms and legs, dizziness, itching, redness in the face, throat, and/or difficulty breathing.
